Chlorophyll

Chlorophyll is a green pigment found in plants, algae, and cyanobacteria. It is a key component of photosynthesis, the process by which plants convert light energy into chemical energy. Chlorophyll absorbs light mostly in the blue and red regions of the visible light spectrum, reflecting and scattering green light, giving plants their green color. Chlorophyll is essential for plants, as it enables them to convert light energy into usable chemical energy for growth, development, and reproduction. Chlorophyll is also used as a dietary supplement to improve overall health and well-being, as studies have linked it to a variety of health benefits.
