Beeches
Beeches (Fagus spp.) is a large deciduous tree from the Fagaceae family, often found in temperate and mixed forests around the world. It has smooth, grayish-brown bark, light green leaves, and small, oval-shaped nuts. Beech wood is a popular choice for furniture, paneling, and flooring due to its strength, durability, and beautiful grain. The nuts are edible and are popular among foragers and wildlife, providing food for numerous birds and mammals. Beech trees play a vital role in the ecosystems they inhabit, providing shelter and food while contributing to soil health and nutrient cycling. In addition, they are an important source of biomass and can be used to produce fuel and other materials. Beeches are also valued for their aesthetic value, making them a popular choice for landscaping.
