Agroforests

Agroforestry is an agricultural practice that combines trees and shrubs with crops or livestock in order to increase productivity and enhance sustainability. It has been proven to improve soil health, water and nutrient cycling, reduce erosion, and increase biodiversity. Agroforestry also helps to improve livelihoods for farmers, providing timber and other non-timber products, such as nuts, fruits, and fodder, which can be sold or used for consumption. Additionally, agroforestry systems are resilient to climate change, helping farmers cope with unpredictable weather patterns. Agroforestry is thus an essential practice for sustainable food production and environmental management.
