Agroforestry

Agroforestry is a sustainable land-use system that combines the production of trees and crops or animals on the same parcel of land. It combines agricultural and forestry practices to optimize land and water management, improve biodiversity and sequester carbon, while also providing multiple uses and benefits. Agroforestry has increased in practice due to its many advantages, including improved production and productivity, improved soil health, nutrient recycling, reduced erosion, and water and air pollution. Additionally, agroforestry offers a range of social benefits, such as local food security, income generation, and improved quality of life. Agroforestry enables farmers to diversify their activities and enhance the environmental management of their land.
