Ribosomal Peptides

Ribosomal peptides are short sequences of amino acids connected by peptide bonds. They are produced by ribosomes, which are protein-building organelles in cells. Ribosomal peptides play important roles in a variety of biological processes, such as cell communication and immune responses. They can also be used as therapeutic agents, owing to their ability to activate intracellular signaling pathways, regulate gene expression, and modulate the immune system. Furthermore, ribosomal peptides are being studied for their anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties. Thus, ribosomal peptides may have potential applications in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.
