Retroinverso Peptide

Retroinverso peptides are synthetic peptides that have inverted amino and carboxy termini. They are important in understanding how amino acid sequences affect protein function, and they can be used to develop peptide drugs with improved pharmacokinetic properties. Retroinverso peptides have also been used to probe the structure and dynamics of membrane proteins, and to create antiviral reagents with enhanced activity. The use of retroinverso peptides has significantly enhanced our ability to understand the mechanisms of peptide-based drugs and peptide-protein interactions.
