Peptide Modification

Peptide modification is an important process in protein research. In this process, the addition of small molecules to peptides and proteins can modify, change, or enhance their functional properties and other characteristics. This is achieved through various methods such as enzymatic reactions, chemical reactions, or synthetically. Peptide modifications are essential for drug development, disease diagnostics, and therapeutic applications. In addition, they are used in research to improve the stability, solubility, and pharmacokinetic properties of peptides or proteins. With peptide modification, it is possible to improve the accuracy and sensitivity of a drug, diagnostic product, or therapeutic protein, and thus, enhance their effectiveness.
