Organic Chemistry

Organic chemistry is the study of the structure, properties, and reactions of molecules containing carbon. It is a branch of chemistry of importance in everyday life, as the elements and compounds studied in organic chemistry are derived from living organisms. Organic chemistry has a wide range of uses including the design and synthesis of medicines, development of sustainable energy sources, and the manufacture of plastics and dyes. Its development has also aided in the identification of hazardous materials and in understanding climate change. Organic chemistry holds a prominent role in the advancement of scientific research and its ability to shape our lives for the better.
