Nanoscience

Nanoscience is the study of matter at nanometer scales, which are a billionth of a meter. It is an interdisciplinary field of research that uses the principles of physics, chemistry, biology and engineering to understand and control matter at its tiniest scales. Its significance lies in its potential to revolutionize the fields of healthcare, electronics, energy and the environment, as it can be used to produce materials, devices and systems that have novel and superior properties. Nanoscience can be used to develop smaller and faster circuitry for improved computing and communication systems, or to create advanced materials for medical and environmental applications.
