Gonadotropins

Gonadotropins are hormones produced by the pituitary gland that are used to regulate reproductive functions in both males and females. They are primarily responsible for stimulating the production of sex hormones and promoting the development of reproductive organs in both genders. Gonadotropins are used to treat fertility problems in women, such as anovulation, and can help regulate the menstrual cycle. In men, gonadotropins are used to treat certain types of infertility, such as low levels of testosterone. In addition, gonadotropins have been used in research and clinical settings to study reproductive physiology and help guide medical treatments.
