Research Interests:

1. Biochemistry – Microbiology:
• Bacterial culture and fermentation
• Production of probiotics for aquaculture

2. Cell Biology:
• Culturing normal cells and cancer cells of various organs such as live cells, lung cells, breast cells, brain cell, prostate cells, cervical cells, skin cells, ect.
• Evaluating the intracellular signaling translocation in responding to external stimulation such as bacteria, virus, oxidant, pollen, food, ect.
• Investigating the mRNA and protein expression in the activated cells

3. Pharmaceuticals:
• Screening and purification of bioactive agents from natural products such as phenolic compounds, chitooligosaccharides and its derivatives, peptides, ect.
• Evaluating biological activities of natural products available for anti-cancer, anti-bacteria, anti-inflammation, anti-allergy.
• Plant derived extract as natural alternative to food additive
• Natural antioxidant in human diet and health related benefit
