Scarlet Fever
Scarlet fever is an infectious disease caused by a strain of streptococcal bacteria. It is characterized by a fever, sore throat, and a bright red rash with a sandpaper-like texture. In rare cases, it can lead to serious complications such as pneumonia and rheumatic fever. Treatment with antibiotics is usually effective and can help reduce the risk of complications. Vaccines are not available and preventive measures include avoiding contact with people who have the disease and practicing good hygiene.
