Picky Eating
Picky eating, or Selective Eating Disorder (SED), is a condition in which a person limits their dietary intake to only certain types of food. This can range from a narrow range of foods to an extreme case in which they only allow themselves to eat one food. Picky eating can cause a person nutritional deficiencies, an unhealthy relationship with food, and can even lead to eating disorders. It is a serious issue and can have significant implications for physical and mental health. Treatment options include a combination of exposure to a variety of foods, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and nutritional counseling. With the right approach, people can overcome picky eating and develop more healthful and balanced eating habits.
