Public Health Nursing
Public health nursing is an area of nursing focused on promoting the health and well-being of communities. It focuses on preventing disease and injury, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and providing care to the most vulnerable in society. Public health nurses work with individuals, families, communities, and populations to prevent and reduce risk factors associated with disease and injury. They also collaborate with public health organizations to develop and implement strategies for improving population health. Public health nursing has the potential to improve overall health in a population, reduce health care costs, and improve the quality of life for members of the community.
