Infectious Disease
Infectious diseases are illnesses caused by the presence of a pathogen, such as a virus, bacterium, or parasite, in the body. They are spread from person to person or from animals to humans and can cause a range of health problems including fever, vomiting, diarrhea, respiratory infections, and even death. Early detection and treatment of infectious diseases are critical to reduce their spread and to ensure the best possible outcome for those affected. Vaccines, regular hand-washing, and improved sanitation are just a few of the strategies used to prevent and control infectious diseases.
