Hospice Care
Hospice care is a type of care that focuses on providing comfort and support for someone who is terminally ill and nearing the end of life. It is aimed at providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support for the patient and their family. Hospice care is provided in a variety of settings such as in-home, hospital, or hospice center and is typically organized by an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals and volunteers. This type of care acknowledges that the patient is nearing the end of life and seeks to make them as comfortable as possible with various services such as pain management, symptom control, spiritual support, and hospice social workers to help the patient and their family cope. It is important to recognize that hospice care is not designed to cure illness, but rather to provide comfort and quality of life until the end of life.
