Geriatrics
Geriatrics is a field of medicine focused on the health of elderly people. It addresses the health needs of older adults and is an important medical specialty that provides comprehensive care for these individuals. Geriatrics encompasses a wide range of areas, including physical health, mental health, and social services. By helping to diagnose and treat medical conditions associated with aging, geriatrics practitioners help elderly people remain independent and active for as long as possible. Geriatrics can also provide advice on how to best manage chronic health conditions, as well as provide support for individuals with psychological and social needs. As the population of older adults continues to grow, geriatrics will become increasingly important in providing the specialized care necessary for this population.
