Critical Care Nursing
Critical care nursing is an area of nursing focused on providing specialized care for patients with life-threatening medical conditions. Critical care nurses are responsible for assessing and monitoring a patient's condition, providing intensive care when necessary, administering medication and other treatments, and educating patients and their families. The ability of critical care nurses to anticipate and recognize medical complications helps improve patient outcomes, reduce length of stay in the intensive care unit, and reduce costs. Critical care nursing is not only important to providing quality health care but also to improving and maintaining the health of patients.
