Anesthesia

Anesthesia is the process of administering a drug to induce loss of sensation or consciousness, typically to facilitate painless surgery or other medical procedures. It is a vital part of modern medicine, enabling people to receive life-saving treatments with minimal or no pain, while remaining safe and comfortable. Anesthetics are carefully developed and administered by anesthesiologists, who are specially trained doctors, in order to ensure the best possible outcome for patients. Anesthetics have also made it possible to perform many complex and delicate medical procedures, such as organ transplants, that would have been impossible before.
