Ambulatory Anesthesiology

Ambulatory anesthesiology is the branch of anesthesiology that specializes in providing medical and surgical care to patients who are receiving care outside of a hospital setting. The most common uses of ambulatory anesthesiology include providing care for patients undergoing surgery in an outpatient clinic, vein care, cosmetic procedures, and more. It also can be used in emergency care for pain management and sedation outside of a hospital setting. Ambulatory anesthesiology helps reduce the cost and complexity of healthcare services, and is becoming increasingly important in our society in providing high-quality and cost-effective patient care.
