Trichomonas Vaginalis
Trichomonas vaginalis is a protozoan parasite that is the most common curable STI (sexually transmitted infection) worldwide. It is commonly referred to as trichomoniasis. It is spread through sexual contact and symptoms may or may not be present. If they are present they may include discharge, itching, and burning. It is important to seek medical treatment to prevent the spread to other sexual partners as well as possible health complications. Treatment is usually a single dose of antibiotics. Prevention methods include using condoms and regular testing.
