Trematodes
Trematodes, also known as flukes, are a type of parasitic flatworms found in both marine and freshwater habitats. They are particularly common in tropical and subtropical regions. They are important human and animal parasites, causing a variety of diseases such as schistosomiasis, clonorchiasis, and parasitism in the liver, lungs, and intestines. In order to protect against their damaging effects, proper hygiene is essential, particularly in areas with high concentrations of trematodes. Additionally, proper management of the habitats of these parasites is necessary to reduce the transmission of the diseases they cause.
