Parasites Vectors

Parasites Vectors are an important factor in the spread of infectious diseases. They are intermediate steps in the transmission of diseases and transmit them from one host to another. Vectors can include insects, arachnids and other animals. These vectors can be used to study the spread of vector-borne illnesses such as malaria, dengue fever, Zika fever and yellow fever. Vectors can also have a role in disease control and prevention, as they are one of the main targets of insecticide-based control strategies. By understanding the biology of vectors and the dynamics of the diseases they spread, it is possible to implement strategies that reduce the spread of the pathogen.
