Nematoda
Nematoda are a group of multicellular worms commonly referred to as roundworms. They are found in a wide range of habitats including marine, freshwater, and terrestrial environments. They are extremely important as they offer a good source of food to fish, they act as decomposers and help to break down organic matter and they are used in pest control and the containment of disease carrying organisms. Nematodes also play a crucial role in many research areas such as bio-control, genetics, genomics, and toxicology. These organisms have become increasingly important over the past few decades and they are now used in many different industries, including agriculture, medicine, and aquaculture.
