Mites

Mites are very small arthropods found in a variety of habitats. They are important components of many ecosystems, where they feed on bacteria, fungi, algae, detritus, plant and insect debris, and even other mites. Mites play a vital role in soil nutrient cycling, pest management, and pollination. They are also used in food production, such as cheese and vinegar, as well as other industrial processes. Mites are also commonly used in medical and veterinary research, for studies on allergies and other diseases.
