Pancreatitis Symptoms
Pancreatitis is a medical condition marked by inflammation of the pancreas, an organ in the abdomen that releases digestive enzymes and hormones. The main symptom of pancreatitis is severe pain in the upper abdomen that radiates to the back. Other symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, fever, rapid heartbeat, a swollen and tender abdomen, and unintentional weight loss. Pancreatitis can be a life-threatening condition and requires prompt medical attention. Treatment typically includes pain medications, antibiotics, and surgery if necessary. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment are essential for a positive outcome.
