Insomnia
Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. It is characterized by difficulty falling asleep, frequent awakenings at night, early morning awakenings, and non-restorative sleep. Insomnia can have many causes such as stress, medical conditions, medications, environmental noise or light, lifestyle habits, and other psychological issues. The effects of insomnia can be severe, including feelings of tiredness, lack of energy during the day, reduced concentration, and issues with memory. Treatment for insomnia typically involves a combination of lifestyle changes such as relaxation techniques, avoiding stimulants close to bedtime, and sticking to a regular bedtime and wake-up routine. In some cases medication or therapy may also be recommended. Insomnia can be effectively managed, which can help to improve quality of life and reduce the risk of complications.
