Cholecystokinin
Cholecystokinin (CCK), which is a peptide hormone produced in the small intestine, is an important factor in the digestive process. It influences digestion and absorption of food, as well as appetite and satiety, by stimulating the release of digestive enzymes and bile acids from the pancreas and gallbladder, respectively. It has been suggested to play a role in regulating processes such as gastrointestinal motility, metabolism, and secretion of digestive juices. Furthermore, it is involved in regulating anxiety and stress responses, creating an ideal environment for the digestion of food. Therefore, CCK has been regarded as an important hormone for overall health and wellness.
