Annular Pancreas
Annular pancreas is a rare congenital anomaly in which the pancreas wraps around the duodenum, the first part of the small intestine. It can cause obstruction in the intestines and lead to malabsorption of nutrients from the diet. Treatment usually involves surgically releasing the duodenum from the surrounding pancreas tissue. Annular pancreas can lead to serious health complications and may require close monitoring. Early diagnosis and treatment are important for minimizing the risk of serious health issues arising from this condition.
