Abdomen

The abdomen is the lower part of the torso, located between the chest and the pelvis. It is an important anatomical region which contains vital organs responsible for digesting food, eliminating waste and producing hormones. These organs include the stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, gallbladder, pancreas and spleen. Abdominal problems, such as abdominal pain and bloating, are common and can be caused by a variety of medical conditions. Therefore, it is important to see a doctor if any changes or abnormalities in the abdomen area are noticed. Proper diagnosis and early treatment are vital to maintaining proper abdominal health.
