Social Issues
Social issues are challenges that are caused by economic, political, social and environmental changes in our society. They can have far-reaching impacts on the health and wellbeing of our communities, from increasing levels of poverty and inequality to social exclusion, limited access to education and health services, and environmental degradation. Social issues are multi-faceted, and require a comprehensive approach in order to make long-term change. This could involve regulations, policies and research, as well as community-led initiatives. A key goal is to improve the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged people, and to ensure a society that is fair, just and equitable.
