Quality of Life
Quality of life (QOL) is a measure of a person's overall well-being, physical and mental health, and general satisfaction with life. It is an important concept in a variety of disciplines including health care, psychology, sociology, and economics. Quality of life is determined by a range of factors including physical and psychological health, access to education and leisure, economic security, and social support. Improving QOL can have numerous positive outcomes, such as better physical and mental health, increased economic growth, and improved social wellbeing. Quality of life research can help individuals, organizations, and governments understand how to create an environment that promotes and supports well-being.
