Tumors of Head and Face
Tumors of the head and face are abnormal growths that can occur anywhere on the head and face, including the lips, cheeks, nose, and forehead. They are often benign (non-cancerous) and can be treated with surgery or radiation therapy. Some tumors, however, can be malignant (cancerous) and require aggressive treatment such as chemotherapy or immunotherapy. Early detection and treatment of tumors of the head and face is important for preventing the spread of cancer to other parts of the body and for preserving the patient's facial appearance. Surgery may also be performed in order to reconstruct the area of the face affected by the tumor. Proper diagnosis and treatment of tumors of the head and face can help improve the quality of life of those affected.
