Tetanus
Tetanus is a serious but preventable bacterial disease caused by Clostridium tetani. It affects the nervous system and can result in muscle stiffness, spasms and even death. Tetanus is spread through contact with contaminated objects such as soil, dust, and animal waste. The disease can be prevented through proper immunization and prompt wound care. Vaccination against Tetanus is recommended for both children and adults and is particularly important for those at risk of injury, such as construction workers, farmers, and people with weakened immune systems. Vaccination is the best way to protect against tetanus, and it is the only surefire way to prevent the onset of this serious and potentially deadly infection.
