Sinonasal Sarcoma

Sinonasal sarcoma is a rare, malignant type of cancer that develops in the sinonasal region of the head and neck, which includes the nose and the paranasal sinuses. This type of cancer is relatively rare, accounting for only 0.9-3% of all head and neck malignancies. Common symptoms include facial swelling and pressure, facial pain, facial numbness, and difficulty breathing. Treatment usually consists of surgery, radiation therapy, and/or chemotherapy. Early diagnosis and treatment of sinonasal sarcoma is critical as it can be rapidly fatal if not caught and treated in its early stages.
