Ear Infections
Ear infections, also known as otitis media, are quite common and are usually caused by either a virus or bacteria. They affect the middle ear, causing pain and irritation. Ear infections can lead to hearing loss if left untreated. Symptoms can range from a mild earache to fever and hearing loss. Treatment usually involves antibiotics or other medications, as well as pain relief. Surgery may be needed in some cases to drain fluid or repair damage. Early diagnosis and treatment is important to prevent further complications and ensure good hearing health for the future.
