Coughing
Coughing is a common reflex that serves a protective role in our body by clearing the airways of irritating particles, mucus and germs. It is a very important part of our body’s defence system and plays an important role in helping keep our airways clear from pollutants and allergens. Coughing is also useful for diagnosing and treating various respiratory illnesses and infections, including asthma and pneumonia. In conjunction with other treatments, coughing can help reduce the severity and duration of illnesses, as well as improve overall quality of life for sufferers.
