Cervicogenic Dizziness

Cervicogenic Dizziness is a type of dizziness that originates from the neck and is caused by misalignment or irritation of the neck joints and muscles. This can lead to feelings of imbalance, lightheadedness, and loss of focus. Cervicogenic Dizziness is more common in people who have long-term neck pain, have been in a recent accident or have certain conditions such as whiplash or arthritis. Treatment can involve physical therapy, exercises and mobilisation of the neck as well as medications and injections to reduce inflammation. Cervicogenic Dizziness can also be a symptom of a vestibular disorder or inner ear problem, and so diagnosis and treatment by a qualified healthcare professional is important.
