Cataract

Surgery Cataract Surgery is a surgical procedure that involves removing the cloudy lens from the eye and replacing it with an artificial lens (intraocular lens) to restore vision. This surgery is usually needed when the cataract has advanced enough that it affects a person’s vision and quality of life. It is the most common eye surgery performed in the United States, with good success rates and lasting results. Benefits of cataract surgery include sharper vision, improved contrast and night vision, reduced glare, and protection from other eye diseases.
