Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo
Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is a type of vertigo, where a person experiences sudden and intense episodes of dizziness or spinning when changing their head position. BPPV is caused by a problem with the inner ear and is the most common cause of vertigo. It is treatable and often resolves itself without treatment. Treatment options include the Epley maneuver, which helps reposition particles in the inner ear, or other physical and medical therapies. BPPV can significantly improve a person's quality of life.
