Barotraumas

Barotraumas are physical injuries caused by sudden changes in pressure. They occur in situations where air pressure, such as that encountered in air travel, diving, and medical procedures, changes suddenly and unexpectedly. Barotrauma can cause ear, sinus, and lung damage, as well as facial fractures. It is important to be aware of the risks of barotrauma and to take protective measures when engaging in activities that may involve sudden pressure changes. Taking steps such as equalizing ear pressure during air travel and using preventive measures during medical procedures can reduce the risk of barotrauma and improve safety.
