Shoulder Pain
Shoulder pain is an issue faced by a large part of the population, mainly caused by injury, inflammation or age-related degeneration of the shoulder joint. It can range from acute, short-term pain to chronic, long-term pain. Common activities such as lifting and reaching overhead can be difficult and painful for those suffering from shoulder pain. Treatments for shoulder pain depend on the cause, but generally involve physical therapy, medications, steroid injections, and surgery. Treatment is focused on managing symptoms, reducing inflammation and restoring motion. Early diagnosis and treatment can be beneficial in controlling shoulder pain, improving range of motion and preventing long-term problems.
