It plays an important role in the body’s response to injury and disease, with the aim of restoring the body to its normal form and function. Tissue Repair has a wide range of uses in clinical medicine, such as wound healing, controlling inflammation, promoting scar formation and restoring lost blood vessels. It is also used in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery to repair damaged tissues or improve the shape or function of bodily features.
