Malnutrition

Malnutrition is a public health problem resulting from an inadequate dietary intake, an imbalance of nutrients, or an inability to absorb or use the nutrients in the diet. Chronic malnutrition can lead to a variety of health problems, such as stunted growth, weakened immune systems, and a greater risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. Proper nutrition is a cornerstone of good health and prevention of chronic diseases. Eating a balanced diet rich in a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins can help to reduce malnutrition and improve general health.
