High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is a very common medical condition in which the force exerted by the blood on the walls of the arteries is too high. It is a major risk factor for stroke, heart attack, heart failure, aneurysm, and kidney failure. High blood pressure can be treated with lifestyle measures, such as exercise, diet, and weight loss, and with medications. The aim of treatment should be to reduce hypertension and its associated morbidity and mortality.
