Genetics

Genetics is the study of how living organisms pass on characteristics from one generation to the next. It can provide us with an understanding of the genetic basis of diseases, the development of new drugs, and the production of new crops and livestock. It also has implications for forensic science and the study of human evolution. Genetics helps us to better understand how our bodies respond to environmental influences, how we age, how we can prevent or treat diseases, and how to improve the food we consume.
