Fatty Liver
Disease Fatty liver disease is a condition whereby excess fat accumulates in the liver, leading to inflammation and, potentially, further health complications. It can result from excessive alcohol consumption, metabolic diseases such as diabetes, or certain medications. Symptoms of fatty liver disease include pain and discomfort in the upper abdomen and jaundice. If left untreated, the condition can lead to more serious health complications such as cirrhosis and liver cancer. Treatment for fatty liver disease usually relies on lifestyle modifications such as dietary changes, weight loss, and avoiding alcohol. Early diagnosis and intervention are key to preventing the development of more serious health conditions associated with fatty liver disease. Furthermore, it is important for individuals with risk factors for fatty liver disease to be aware of the potential for this condition to develop.
