Acute wound healing is the faster process that usually occurs shortly after the wound forms, while chronic wound healing refers to wounds that take longer time to heal or heal improperly due to infection, trauma, or health conditions. Proper wound healing is essential to ensure a successful outcome and prevent complications such as infections, skin discoloration, and scarring.
