Reaction Time
Reaction time is the period of time between when an event occurs and when a response to that event is made. Examples of events include a visual cue, an auditory cue, or a touch cue. Reaction time is an important measure in the fields of psychology, neurology, sports, and many other areas. It is used to assess the speed and accuracy of a person's cognitive processes, such as the ability to make decisions, process information, and respond quickly. The results of reaction time tests can help to determine the cause of cognitive impairment or help to diagnose neurological disorders. Reaction time tests can also be used to measure a person's performance in sports. A person with a faster reaction time would have a competitive advantage in certain types of sports.
