Cytokinesis

Cytokinesis is the final stage of cell division. It is the process by which a single cell divides to form two daughter cells. During cytokinesis, the parent cell's cytoplasm and organelles are divided equally between the two cells, creating two genetically identical daughter cells. Cytokinesis is a critical part of the overall cell division process and is thus essential for the growth and development of organisms. It is also important in the production of gametes, allowing the organism to reproduce. In addition, the precise regulation of cytokinesis is essential for maintaining tissue integrity and the balance between cell proliferation and cell death.
